Our History

The Scott County Chamber of Commerce was established in 1955. The first president of the Chamber of Commerce was Arlie M. Lay, owner of the Lay-Simpson brand of furniture stores, and Lay’s Oneida Furniture Co. Our second president was W.H. “Bill” Swain, president of First National Bank.
