HUNTSVILLE — Linda Byrge will serve as president of the Scott County Chamber of Commerce in 2025.
That was the vote of the Chamber’s board of directors during Thursday’s annual meeting at the Scott County Office Building.
Byrge is the outgoing president of For the Love of Paws, the Scott County non-profit that helps to provide cost-effective spay and neuter options for pet-owners. She was the Chamber’s vice president in 2024.
Matt West, branch manager of One Bank of Tennessee in Oneida, will serve as the Chamber’s vice president in 2025. Sheneka Burchfield, vice president of First National Bank in Oneida, will serve another year as the Chamber’s treasurer.
The nominations for officers were made by the Chamber’s nominating committee prior to Thursday’s annual meeting. After the floor was opened for additional nominations and none were heard, a motion to accept the nominees as presented was made by director Ben Garrett of the Independent Herald and seconded by director Ralph Trieschmann of Timber Rock Lodge.
The new officers were approved by an all-aye vote.
Also among the list of nominees being approved were two new directors: Melissa Ledbetter, executive director of the Scott County Shelter Society, and Nancy Terry, HR manager at JDS Technologies Inc.
