The Museum of Scott County presents The Heritage Festival, a throwback to the pioneer era in Appalachia. This free event includes craft demonstrations, crafts for sale, bluegrass music, vendors and much, much more. It is held on the museum grounds, located on the campus of Scott High School in Huntsville. The Museum of Scott County is America’s only museum to be designed, built and curated by high school students. In addition to the original history museum, the museum complex features the USS Tennessee Battleship Memorial Museum, the Learning Lodge, which is a museum of natural science, a replica of Howard H. Baker’s law office, and an actual pioneer village.
