Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is almost too simple to be true. Reading regularly with your children during their preschool years gives them the biggest boost toward a successful education they will ever get. There are many reasons parents do not read to their children. Dolly Parton, Governor Bredesen, the State of Tennessee and Scott County Government is eliminating one of them. Every child will have books of their very own.
Each month, a new and carefully selected book will be mailed to the child's home. He/she can look forward to new and exciting reading adventures from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library until he/she turns five years old, as long as they remain a resident of Scott County.
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a Free Gift to your children. All you have to do is read to them.
If you know of a business, organization or individual who would like to donate funds to support this gift to your children, donations can be made to Scott County Imagination Library by calling 423-663-2000.
