The Scott County Chamber of Commerce has been the area's primary source of vacation information for more than 50 years. You might say the chamber is the gatekeeper, providing information and welcoming visitors are responsibilities - and privileges - that we take very seriously. And, we will continue to serve visitors from the moment they begin planning their vacations until they pack their bags to go home. Visitors to the area are served by the Scott County Welcome Centers. At the Scott County welcome centers, friendly staff members greet visitors, answer questions, offer directions, and distribute maps, brochures, event listings, and more.

Our chamber has a handle on the pulse of the community as a business advocacy organization and an information dissemination center. The Chamber thanks Scott County for its continued support in the areas of tourism and economic development. From special business seminars and publications to a list of all chambers of commerce world wide--you can find it all at your Chamber. You, as a member, have access to the Chamber's membership databases giving you direct access to more than 200 member businesses and support contacts throughout the region. Your Networking Center Making new contacts and getting your name out can be a daunting task--but it doesn't have to be for Chamber members. Our business expo, workshops and committee work offer countless opportunities to publicize your products and services. And our staff works day after day recommending Chamber members to the thousands of callers and visitors who need information on area attraction, products and services. Take a gaze at what our members get . . . · Chamber Directory: Members receive a free listing in our printed and online business directories. Our membership directory is on display at the Chamber's office, and is sent to 1,000s of inquires for tourism and relocation information. · Web Site: A free listing in the business directory on the Scott County Chamber of Commerce's web site ( www.scottcountychamber.com ). Chamber members receive one free link from the Chamber's site to their own. Chamber members may purchase additional links as well as banner advertising on our web site. · Business Referrals (we refer members-only). The Scott County Chamber of Commerce fills 1,000s of walk-in inquiries and phone calls annually from persons requesting information on products and services in our area. · Business Card and Brochure Display: The Chamber allows members to display business information and business cards in the Chamber's office. |
